NASA Presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga has challenged Kenyans to vote out the current Jubilee regime during the August 8 elections, saying it has failed in addressing problems facing the nation.
Speaking at Mariakani, Kilifi County on Thursday where he lead the NASA caravan on a three-day vote-hunting mission in the region, Raila highlighted Jubilee government's shortcomings over the last four years. With corruption predominantly appearing in his speech, the former Prime Minister said the current leadership has engaged on a looting spree which has rendered millions of Kenyans poor.On the high cost of living, Raila said Kenyans have been made to dig deep into their pockets as prices of basic commodities continue to skyrocket. He hit out at the government over the unavailability of subsidized maize flour which he claimed is only found in Gatundu and Sugoi, the rural homes of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto respectively. He further accused the government of perpetrating tribalism, claiming that all government appointments are skewed and that only few tribes benefit while the rest have been excluded. On the issue of extra judicial killings, Raila claimed that the government is running a killer squad to kill people suspected of terrorism and other crime-related activities without carrying out proper investigations.
