The National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential aspirant Raila Odinga has hit out at Jubilee administration over the high food prices and high cost of living rocking the country.
Raila blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto for the current situation, claiming the two were unable to drive the country’s economy.
“Unga prices are high due to the poor leadership of Jubilee leaders. When I was the Prime Minister, Kibaki (former President) and I used to planned ahead,” he said.
Speaking at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Sunday, the ODM leader asked Kenyans to elect him in the August polls, saying he has the solution to high food prices problem which has left Kenyans frustrated in recent months.
“As NASA, we will change the country in 90 days by putting interventions that will see the prices of basic food items go down drastically,” Raila said.
Jubilee leaders have accused the Opposition of taking advantage of the current high cost of living to incite Kenyans against the government.
They insist the current situation is as a result of the drought that the country experienced in the past four months.
