Kamket who was present during a recent surprise meeting between the retired president Daniel Arap Moi and Odinga said there was a discussion over the matter though admitting that how it could happen still remains unknown.

“There are discussions to have Raila endorse Gideon Moi in 2022, I can tell you that. I do not know how this will pan out, but I can tell you, in the meeting, 2022 was definitely in the picture,” Kamket said as quoted by the Sunday Nation.

This revelation is totally different from what National Super Alliance leader had said on visiting the retired head of State at his Kabarak residence.

Through his Spokesman, Deniss Onyango, Odinga said that he had visited Moi and his family to wish him well and discussed matters pertaining national unity.

"This morning H.E Odinga visited Former President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi at his Kabarak home. The leaders discussed the state of the Kenyan nation and stability. President Moi recently returned back to Kenya from treatment abroad and H.E Odinga wished him well," a statement sent to newsrooms read.

His visit, however, didn't go well with some leaders from Rift valley including Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen who has since told off Gideon Moi that riding on his father's legacy will not guarantee him support from Rift valley region.

“Some people here have not done anything at all. They walk around telling people to elect them because they are sons of so and so. Let me tell you, tells us what you have done so that you can be elected because we are not electing your father,” Murkomen said.
