The opposition leader Raila Odinga is set to complete the Jubilee party leadership in the next year’s elections.
Odinga is set to compete for the presidential seat under the CORD coalition.
This comes after the coalition co-principals, Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka said they were the best candidates to be the presidential flag bearers of the coalition.
Kalonzo, who is also a leader of the Wiper party said according to the memorandum of understanding signed in 2013, he was to take over in 2017 as CORD’s presidential candidate. The MoU has, however, been dissolved. A week ago, senator Wetangula launched his presidential campaign at Muliro gardens, Kaka mega.
A key ally to Raila Odinga said that the opposition leader seems to be ready to continue with his leadership as the coalition.
If elected, the CORD leader will still be the flag bearer of the coalition come 2017.this comes a day after Kibera residents called on the coalition leaders to work together to defeat the Jubilee party.
