Devolution Cabinet Secretary (CS) Mwangi Kiunjuri has asked Cord leader Raila Odinga to exit from politics claiming that he will not beat President Uhuru Kenyatta in the forthcoming 2017 general elections.
The CS said that Raila’s efforts and chances of becoming president are done and dusted.
He said that Raila should instead contribute to development in other sectors but not politics.
He said that Raila should wait for another miserable loose come 2017.
The Devolution CS who spoke on Wednesday when he inspected the ongoing construction of Mbasya dam in Mbooni, Makueni County observed that Raila has been contesting since 1997 but has never won the presidential seat.
“Raila will not beat President Uhuru Kenyatta in next year’s election and I think it is time for him to exit politics and concentrate on other development areas,” said the Devolution CS as quoted by the Star Newspaper on Wednesday.
Kiunjuri asked the Kamba community to work with the Jubilee government ahead of the elections.
He said that community stand to gain from development projects being initiated by the Jubilee government.
The CS claimed that the opposition has nothing to offer Kenyans.
