Renowned political scientist Mutahi Ngunyi claims opposition leader Raila Odinga will be in government this year but as a Prime Minister.
Mutahi adds that Raila’s claims of early rigging are meant to prepare the nation for the eventuality using the controversial amendments to election laws to support his argument.
Odinga is expected to try his fourth attempt to be president, after three unsuccessful attempts, with the closest being in 2007 elections.
“The record must reflect that Raila will be in the next government but not as president, but a forced Prime Minister. And this is a bare minimum that if he cannot become a boss, he will be Prime Minister,” argues Ngunyi in The Sunday Standard.
“He will be forcing a coalition government and he has done it before. Forcing this coalition on Jubilee is therefore a walk in the park,” adds Ngunyi.
Ngunyi is famous for predicting Jubilee’s victory in 2013 when he coined the term ‘tyranny of numbers’ as an advantage to Jubilee team.
