Chairman of the Luo Dialogue initiative Odoyo Owidi has revealed that National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga will be sworn in just as Mwai Kibaki was in 2007.

While speaking today during an interview with  Ramogi fm, Owidi said that the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for December 12 will be a peaceful event.

“If you look at the invitation letters to the ceremony, the venue is not stipulated. That is one among many other we’ve set up to ensure the event remains peaceful,” Owidi said.

He reiterated that the swearing-in ceremony might be prerecorded with only three people to be involved in the event.

“Raila’s swearing-in only need a commonwealth judge, an assisting officer and Raila himself,” Owidi stated.

After the swearing-in of President Uhuru Kenyatta, Raila stated that he will also be sworn in as people’s president claiming that Uhuru is not a legitimate president.

There has been a series of skirmishes witnessed in the country during the electioneering period with many people losing their lives.

President Kenyatta has however congratulated the police force on how they handled the situation with the opposition and human right groups condemning Uhuru’s sentiments saying he is impressed on how the police kill civilians.
