The former vice president, who spoke during his tour in Mwingi, asked chiefs not to waste time colluding with President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto to rig the August polls, adding that he is confident the opposition will take over leadership after the August polls.
“Let nobody lie to you to help them rig because NASA is going to win," he said. In the meantime, both Jubilee and NASA have launched their manifestos ahead of the August elections.
The two political outfits have promised to improve the welfare of Kenyans if given the mandate to lead the nation in the next four years. President Kenyatta has the pledge to initiate more projects in the country if he retains power. Raila, on his part, has maintained that he is the best replacement for Uhuru.
The opposition leader has been accusing the current government of failing to keep pre-election promises. The two sides have assured Kenyans that they will deal with different areas of the economy including education, health and security among others.
