Kuresoi North MP Moses Cheboi has said that Cord leader Raila Odinga will hardly get a million votes in the 2017 elections.
Cheboi said that Raila has lost his political clout and that he is depleted politically. He argued that Raila has run out of political ideas and that Kenyans cannot buy his tricks anymore.
Speaking in Kuresoi, Cheboi said that president Uhuru Kenyatta will get more votes in Luo Nyanza more than he did in 2013 because he has become a darling of many Luos.
“I can tell you without any fear of doubt that Raila will struggle to get even 1 million votes because Kenyans are just tired of him and they want him out of the political space,” said Cheboi.
“I will not be surprised to see President Kenyatta and jubilee getting more votes in Nyanza this time round because even the people of Nyanza want to be part of government,” he said.
The MP added that jubilee will take 50% of parliamentary seats currently being held by CORD in the 2017 polls.
“They are complaining that we have a tyranny of numbers in the current parliament but they should be told that the next parliament will even be worse because as jubilee, we are determined to win 50% of their seats and that will happen,” he said.
