Nominated MP Oburu Oginga has said NASA presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, will implement the Truth Justice and Reconciliation Committee (TJRC) report if he ascends to power.

Oburu, Raila’s elder brother, said the opposition will address historical injustices once the former prime minister takes over leadership of this nation.

“When Raila assumes power, the TJRC report will be made public for Kenyans to decide which aspects should be adopted," said Oburu.

He spoke in Nyangweso village, Gem constituency, after holding a meeting with Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders.

The lawmaker shelved his political ambition to campaign for Raila after losing in Bondo ODM nominations to incumbent Gideon Ochanga.

Oburu also defended the opposition leader against remarks he made in Kajiado, saying that he (Raila) meant well for the Maasai.

The MP said Raila was misquoted by leaders aligned to Jubilee.

“He did not mean that those who appropriately and genuinely bought land there to be evicted,” he said.
