Opposition leader Raila Odinga will never succeed in his efforts to clinch the presidency, a Jubilee Party MP has claimed.
According to Ndaragwa legislator Jeremiah Kioni, Kenyans don't trust Raila because of his 'eagerness to take power through bloodshed'.
"He had always been keen to use chaos and violence to get access to power. In 2007, he became Prime Minister after more than 1000 Kenyans lost their lives in post- election violence," he said during an interview on Kameme FM.
"Kenyans have not forgotten that in 1982 he used military to try overthrowing a legitimate government," he added.
Kioni claimed even Raila's father, the late Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, did not trust his son in the leadership of his party, FORD.
"Jaramogi overlooked Raila in matters of party politics. That is why the late Micheal Kijana Wamalwa became FORD's national chairman after Jaramogi's death in 1994," the MP said.
Kioni, who was NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi running mate in 2013 presidential election, also accused the Opposition leader of a plan to overthrow President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"Raila has formed a resistance movement in readiness to snatch power from Uhuru but I can assure him he will fail miserably," the legislator added.
