Elders from the Luhya community have exuded confidence that Cord Leader Raila Amolo Odinga and Wiper Party Patron Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka will transform the lives of Kenyans if elected into power in August.
The Luhya Council of Elders has affirmed that it will rally the community to back the National Super Alliance (NASA) lineup in the forthcoming general elections.
The elders argued that the common mwananchi has nothing to smile about President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto since they duo took over power in the last general polls.
Led by chairman Patrick Wangamati and vice chairman Burudi Nabwera, who spoke during a press conference in Bungoma town, said that they have no reason to back Jubilee for another term adding that NASA is the way Kenyans should go ahead of the August polls.
“The economy has been destroyed by wanton corruption. It’s time JP packed and went,” Wangamati said, as quoted by Star.
The elders also said that both Raila and Kalonzo Musyoka are performers, adding that they will change the way things are done in this nation. “Raila and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka have an excellent record. They have a shared vision, which they will actualize once elected.”
