Kisii Senator Professor Sam Ongeri on Friday told off those politicians who are 'making noise' in reference to those against the leader of the ODM that they will still follow him.
The former Minister for Education was speaking at a gathering in Kisii county where Kisii leaders had met with Raila Odinga.
The Kisii lawmaker was saying this in reference to the Raila-Uhuru pact.
"Those making noise will still come back to Raila because this was an answered prayer. Like Joshua and Moses, Raila and Uhuru have the button to move this country," Said Professor Ongeri.
Speaking at the gathering, the former Nyaribari Masaba Member of Parliament described peace as a priceless commodity and the move both President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga made was a bold step and magnanimous statesmanship.
Present at the Kisii leaders meeting with Raila was Kisii governor James Ongwae who received the former prime minister.
Just like his fellow Kisii leader professor Sam Ongeri, Mr. Ongwae as well showed support for the move made by the two leaders describing it as the right way forward in realizing the country's dream.
The green light from the Kisii leaders comes just hours after leaders from Kakamega county led by their new spokesman and governor of Kakamega county, Wycliffe Oparanya endorsed the pact.
"We support the cooperation between Kenyatta and Odinga. The cooperation will in no doubt change the political landscape in the country." Acknowledged Mr. Oparanya.
