Cord leader Raila Odinga has urged the Maasai Community to support the coalition ahead of the 2017 elections.
Riala who held a meeting with a section of Maasai leaders led by former Information Communication and Technology (ICT) PS Joseph Tiampati at Orange House on Wednesday said that Cord was strong to unseat Jubilee in 2017 elections.
The former Prime Minister said that Cord had put in place strategies that will send Jubilee packing in next year’s election.
Odinga said that Jubilee government was using public resources to bribe for support ahead of polls.
“Their trick is to use public money to buy politicians to their wing,” he said, adding that the opposition will not allow the government to misuse public resources.
Odinga said that Jubilee had failed on its promises to Kenyans and was panicking ahead of the elections.
The Cord leader said that the coalition is seeking the support of all communities across the country in preparation of the 2017 elections.
At the same time, Raila accused the government of plotting to silence the media ahead of the elections.
He claimed that the government was secretly making changes to laws to gag the media as elections period approaches.
