Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua has said Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka will never be endorsed by Cord leader Raila Odinga as the coalition's 2017 presidential flag bearer.
Mutua claims that Kalonzo and his Wiper party are being played by Raila Odinga.
In an interview with citizen TV on Thursday night, Mutua said that cord's 2017 flag bearer will be Raila Odinga.
He said that it is time for Kalonzo and his group to wake up because they are wasting time in the Raila Odinga led coalition.
“It is clear and obvious that Raila Odinga will be Cord’s 2017 flag bearer no one else,” he said.
Mutua stated that he is no longer a member of Wiper party. He accused the Wiper and Cord of being led by individuals who are enemies of development.
The Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement party leader stated that he no longer have links with Wiper.
“I have never had trust in Wiper because of the type of leaders who are in the party,” he said during the interview.
The Machakos Governor added that he will defend his Machakos gubernatorial seat on a Maendeleo Chap Chap Movement Party and not Wiper.
Mutua further said that his party will not work with Cord or Jubilee. He is among Wiper rebels who have been summoned to appear before the party disciplinary committee.
Last week Mutua and other rebels snubbed the committee summons forcing the Harun Ndubi led disciplinary committee to issues fresh summons.
Mutua is accused of having links with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party and forming his own party while still a member of Wiper.
The rebels are expected to appear before the dic0pslinary committee on November 24.
