National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga is trying to use the Judiciary to get power through the back door, Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu has claimed.

Speaking on Tuesday when he joined protests to condemn the Supreme Court for overturning President Uhuru Kenyatta's August 8 poll win, Waititu said Raila's plan to take over power will not succeed because Jubilee supporters will oppose it.

"We are totally fed up with NASA games and theatrics. They should know that we are not ready to let go the presidency. We will defend it with all our might," Waititu said, as quoted by the Standard.

The governor further accused Raila of intimidating IEBC officials with a motive to frustrate their preparations for the repeat presidential election slated for next month.

"Raila is not ready for the repeat poll because he knows President Uhuru will defeat him again. We will not allow him to stop the poll using threats and chaos," he added.

Waititu was accompanied by his deputy James Nyoro, 92 MCAs and hundreds of JP supporters to criticise the ruling that nullified Uhuru's win.

The protests came hours after reports emerged that Supreme Court judges met NASA lawyers and strategists before nullifying the August 8 presidential election.
