Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has dismissed a recent opinion poll allegedly conducted by him and which tipped Cord leader Raila Odinga to win the forthcoming August 8 general election.
Through his official twitter handle, Ngunyi rubbished the reports, adding that Raila will never rise to the presidency.
He said the survey was a ploy by Raila’s sympathisers to give the Cord co-principal some form of political advantage over Uhuru Kenyatta.
"The opinion poll is fake. It is part of Raila propaganda. Raila is a slow-punctured politician who will never become king!," read Ngunyi's tweet.
On Thursday, January 12, an online twitter poll, conducted by a handle under the name Mutahi Ngunyi, went on to reveal that Raila was the favourite to clinch the top seat, after 50% of the poll participants voted for the ODM leader.
Uhuru came second with 31%, the alleged survey showed.
Ngunyi is famous for his tyranny of numbers hypothesis in which he predicted President Uhuru Kenyatta's win in 2013 general election.
