National Super Alliance leader Raila Odinga’s adviser Salim Lone has questioned the high rate of insecurity in Nairobi county.

Speaking on his Facebook page February 5, Lone wondered how it has become easy to murder people in Nairobi county nowadays.

This comes after the murder of one of the world’s leading ivory investigator and a former UN special envoy for rhino conservation Esmond Brandley Martin who was living in Kenya.

The 75 years old man, who was working on his latest project on identifying ivory and rhino markets, the traffickers and the modern-day uses, was found dead in his house at Langata with a stab wound in the neck.

The American geographer lifeless body was found by his wife Chrysee Martin after coming from a nature walk.

Lone said that the murder was utterly horrifying and that he knew Esmond and send a heartfelt condolence to his wife and the entire family.

“This is utterly horrifying. I knew Esmond very well from the early 1970s. my sincerest condolences to Chrysee and his entire family. How easy it is to kill people in Nairobi nowadays,” he posted.

Nairobi DCI boss Ireri Kamwende said that they are working to identify the killers.
