Police could arrest key NASA leaders at the eve of the Raila Odinga's inauguration slated on Tuesday as a strategy to scuttle the ceremony, reports the Sunday Nation.
Despite the government keeping mum of the swearing-in, a source privy to state security insists that plans have been put in place to cordon off key venues across the country.
"On Thursday, Inspector General Joseph Boinet met security officers at the Kenya School of Government to strategise on how to handle opposition supporters," said the source.
He further said: "Police could b gearing-up to conduct massive arrests on the eve of the event with the intention to scuttle the process."
Among those targeted include radical NASA politicians and strategists who have been pushing for the swearing-in.
Topping the list of radicals include Cleophas Malala (Kakamega), Norman Magaya, James Orengo (Siaya), Johnstone Muthama and Godfrey Osotsi.
Others include Babu Owino (Embakasi East), Simba Arati (Dagoretti North), Caleb Amis ( Saboti) and Edwin Sifuna who unsuccessfully contested Nairobi senatorial seat.
