Indisposed Nyamira County boss John Nyagarama has been issued with one week ultimatum to quite office due to internal wrangles that have reportedly delayed development.
On various social media platforms, Nyagarama was accused of failing to contain internal wars involving embattled County Secretary Erick Onchana and his deputy Thomas Nyariki.
At Kitutu Masaba Forum, Kate Kemunto said: "These wars have derailed development and is an indication that the governor has lost control. He has only one week to quit."
Similar calls were made in Borabu Watchtower WhatsApp group where residents accused the governor of inaction.
"We cannot wrangle all the time. If the governor cannot exercise his powers, it is for the interest of the people he quits office," said Edward Tinega.
For over a week, Nyagarama has been out of the country for medical checkup and his deputy Amos Nyaribo has been in charge.
The embattled CS has obtained conservatory court orders that allows him to continue being in office until his case is heard and determined.
