Last week, ODM National Governing Council approved Kisii Women Represenative Janet Ong'era as VC despite NEC's backing on Arati.

"I think this is a pathetic way of treating Nairobi MPs. The NEC settled on Arati as Vice Chair and we are yet to understand what transpired," she protested on ODM WhatsApp group.

Although he is yet to speak out, sources say Arati is keen to settle the matter at the partyy level because he is disinterested with duels.

But Passaris believes Arati's loyalty to the party should have been rewarded so that he could organise Raila's troops.

"At this time Raila and us are fighting for serious issues we needed Arati's leadership most. This matter should be revisited," she added.

At his Kisii backyard, Arati is fighting to be crowned the community's spokesperson, a move that has coursed jitters among political elites.
