Raila Odinga's brother Oburu Odinga is in the race to fill the Nominated MP positions at the East Africa Legislative Assembly (EALA).

Oburu is among some other 75 people who are battling for approval to represent the country at the regional assembly.

The list includes former MPs Mpuri Aburi, Ibrahim Saney, Moses Sakuda and Simon Mbugua.

Former EALA members Joseph Kiangoi, Mumbi Ngaru, Abdi Ogle,Saoli Ole Nkanae and Nancy Abisai are among the bidders. 

Others are Dorcas Kedogo, Zipporah Kering, Danson Mungatana, Mohamed Adan and Kalembe Ndile.

Jubilee and NASA were earlier asked to resubmit their lists of nominees after the first one was rejected.
