National Super Alliance (NASA) Presidential candidate Raila Odinga’s campaigns finance kitty has received a major boost.

This is after Kakamega county NASA leaders announced that they will contribute towards campaigns for the repeat polls.

The leaders were led by Governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

They resolved to create a payment schedule.

Other leaders present at the meeting included; Deputy Governor Philip Kutima, Senator Cleophas Malala, Woman Representative Elsie Muhanda, a number of Legislators and Ward Representatives.

Various media outlets report that the leaders agreed that all re-elected Members of County Assembly and nominated representatives will each contribute Sh100,000 with their newly-elected counterparts channelling Sh50,000 to the campaign kitty.

The MPs on their part will be required to pay Sh200,000 with the deputy governor offering to give Sh500,000.

Governor Oparanya noted that the team will also launch their campaigns on Saturday which will run uninterrupted until the end of the stipulated campaign period.
