Renowned 'Daughters of Raila' ringleader Irene Nyakerario was on Thursday sworn in as a member of Nyamira county assembly after she won a court case that has been challenging her nomination.
In an interesting twist, Nyakerario was omitted from ODM list and her place taken by one Damaris Mouni despite the initial record showing her name.
And with ODM dismissing knowledge about Mouni's entry, the latter moved to court but her petition was dismissed by Judge James Makau.
"I am happy to serve my party after these struggles and my intention will be articulating our party agenda," she said after taking oath in Nyamira.
She further said: "Let us forget the past now that opportunity has come. It is something I longed for a long time."
Throughout the country, Nyakerario led spirited campaigns in support of Raila Odinga's bid and has been pictured pushing for revolutionary agenda.
