National Super Alliance (NASA) has insisted that the electoral malpractices conducted by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) in the August 8 elections must be ratified before the October 26 poll.

NASA leader Raila Odinga says the IEBC must adhere to the demands of the Supreme Court in order to guarantee a free and fair election.

“I am not afraid of facing Uhuru Kenyatta. However, I will not go into an election until IEBC rectifies the mistakes pointed out by the court,” Mr Odinga said as quoted by The Daily Nation.

"The baggage that can dent the credibility of the fresh poll must be addressed so that there is a level-playing ground.”

He further insisted that the commission should look for alternative to Safran Morpho and Al Ghurair for the supply of electronic materials and ballot papers ahead of October 26.

"There is enough time to look for alternatives,” added Mr Odinga.
