Videos of a desperate Raila Odinga wrestling with police officers to rescue embattled Canadian based lawyer Miguna Miguna have dominated social media, with critics condemning the government latest operation.
Earlier, Miguna, who was making return to the country after 6 weeks in exile, had been denied entry by immigration officials.
At around 10pm local time, Raila mademade entry to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, in solidarity with the man, who had sworn him as people's president, albeit controversially.
But Miguna's drama would take a new twist moments later, as heavily armed policemen whisked him away.
Apparently, Raila, who all along had been sitting typing his phone, would make a run, despite his advanced age, to block officers from whisking away the controversial lawyer.
Unfortunately, at the entry, officers closed the door, leaving Raila pondering for the next move.
The latest turn out of events proves a litmus test for Raila's peace deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta, that is barely a month old.
