Outspoken South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro was last week pictured in the streets of Nairobi interacting freely with street families.
In photo's that have since gone viral online, Osoro is seen taking photos with street children and passers-by in Nairobi, few days to Christmas.
But despite his philanthropy, his constituents did not take it lightly with some trolling him online for allegedly 'lacking focus'.
"We have a myriad of challenges in Kisii yet someone is extending the helping hand thousand miles from home," said Kate Kemunto in Nyamira politics WhatsApp group.
Sylvia Chonde added: "He is free to help but it is not a must he does it in Nairobi. We have similar cases in Kisii Town."
In parliament, Osoro is a vocal defender of ODM leader Raila Odinga despite his association with KNC.
However, he could not be reached for immediate comment at the time we were going to press.
