In a tightly contested race,  ODM's Omar Pweza clinched the seat after garnering 3,408 votes to Jubilee candidate who scored 2,705 votes.

And the newly elected SG said the party will put focus on pending by-elections on her territories along with areas where Jubilee also lost in court contest.

"As the party leader said,  we shall invest in all by-elections regardless of the appeals," he wrote in ODM Youth League WhatsApp.

He further said: " We have to deliver more by encroaching the enemies territory."

Among the areas to be put under microscope, he said,  include Embakasi East,  Wajir West, Ugenya and Homa Bay gubernatorial seat.

Fundamentally, he added, the party will try to deliver Wajir gubernatorial seat and Turkana Women Representative position.  The two had Jubilee winners losing in courts.
