Supporters of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) in London have termed Raila Odinga's decision to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta as 'a self-serving move'.
For the better part of Uhuru's London trip on Tuesday, the angry ODM supporters waged anti-Jubilee demonstrations just outside Chatham House.
In a statement sent to the Daily Nation, the group accused the two leaders of selfish interests at the expense of the nation.
"We reject corruption and looting of Kenyan wealth by the political class while the people continue leading a life of desperation and misery.
"The handshake was a self-serving move and we reject it in totality. The country is suffering because people lack proper medical and educational facilities," they said.
The statement was signed by the group leaders Janet Suton, Jennifer Kiplagat, Aggrey Kikaya and Sebastian Onyango.
Last month, Raila pulled a surprise by agreeing to work with his political nemesis Uhuru, a move whose details remain scanty.
