In the run to the 2007 general election, the then Kisumu Town West MP Ken Odhiambo Nyagudi was one of the most popular political figures in the Lakeside city.
His huge following on the ground made him one of the most trusted allies of opposition leader Raila Odinga.
However, ten years down the line, the former influential politician has gone mute leaving many guessing his next political move.
Nyagudi inherited the Kisumu West seat during the 2004 by-election following the death of Job Omino.
Until his death, Omino had been Raila's right hand man and was one of the most senior politicians in the newly-formed NARC government where he served as an Assistant Minister.
Upon inheriting the seat, he never disappointed. He perfectly fitted into the shoes of his predecessor and was a key cog in Raila's 2007 State House journey.
His political star dimmed when he was defeated by John Olago Oluoch in 2007, and since then, it has never been the same again for the former lawmaker.
He tried making a comeback in 2013 but lost to a debutante, the youthful Ken Obura.
Since then, he has maintained an uncharacteristically low political profile, leaving many guessing on his next political move.
