Led by NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga, the Opposition is expected to start its tour of the area in Naivasha.

According to sources privy to the tour, the visit by Opposition bigwigs is aimed at consolidating support for their candidates running in Nakuru.

Nakuru is one of Jubilee's strongholds. In 2013 President Uhuru Kenyatta scooped more than 400, 000 votes compared to Raila's 100, 000 plus votes

During the Wednesday trip, Raila is expected to excite minority communities living in the county to come out in large numbers and cast their vote.

The decision to start their visit at Naivasha is tactical as minority communities especially Luos and Luhyas live there. They work in flower farms in the town.

The NASA supporters will receive clear directions to support Odinga, NASA-affilliated gubernatorial candidate Peter Koros among other NASA-leaning candidates.

The same message will be delivered in Nakuru where Raila is keen to capture the Nakuru Town West seat after Samuel Arama decamped to Jubilee.

Arama was elected on an ODM ticket in 2013. He was the only Opposition MP in the county out of 11 MPs.
