NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga has labelled NASA defectors to Jubilee opportunists.

Speaking when he met Maasai leaders on Monday, Odinga said the leaders are selfish and only care about their own interests.

“People seeking individual things have identified that Jubilee is the place to go, we will not waste time trying to stop them. In fact we are aware that Jubilee has set aside a defectors’ fund to finance the buying of leaders and losers and create the impression that there is an exodus from NASA,” he said.

He added; “The money is being stolen from the public and that is the reason why the economy has stalled, and nearly all workers are on strike. The only exodus we know is the exodus of leadership from corruption, tribalism, nepotism and arrogance,”

Odinga is expected ot leave the country for a trip of the UK and USA, which has cast more questions over the planned October 26 polls.

Raila’s running mate Kalonzo Musyoka too joined in the conversation, saying they will not be shaken as a party.

“This issue of defecting, tthey should know NASA is people driven, so if they decide to move, the leave the party more reenergized,”

Some of the leaders who have joined the Jubilee bandwagon include former Taita Governor John Mruttu, former Mombasa Senator Omar Hassan and former Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye.
