NASA leader Raila Odinga sharply criticized the role of western diplomats and election observers in the just concluded repeat presidential election.
Raila Odinga withdrew from the election after which he described it as a total sham.
Odinga also highlighted the activities that took place immediately before the repeat presidential elections. He said that the chairman of the Electoral Commission, on a public forum, said that it was impossible for them to assure Kenyans of a credible election.
He further faulted the envoys for failing to work out a truce between aggrieved parties all through the election period. Odinga said that the efforts that the envoys out into the elections cannot be seen or traced at all.
“We need to have an interim from both parties that sit down to settle the whole electoral issue, just like South Africa,” said Odinga.
