Raila Odinga, the National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate, has asked his supporters to exercise sobriety as the continue with their weekly demonstrations against the IEBC.This is after property of unknown value,w as destroyed during last week, in Kisumu town, during the protests. In a video link sent to a group of church leaders at St Stephen's ACK Kisumu, during the weekend, Odinga said supporters should not provoke the police and destruct freedom of other Kenyans, by starting bonfires, on the streets. He also ask them not to interfere with transport operations, and further called on the church leaders to help preach peace.Whenhe was the Minister for Roads, Odinga said, he influenced tarmacking of major highways in the town and it would defy logic for supporters to light bonfires on them.''I beseech our people with all kindness and humility to desist from acts of hooliganism that may undermine the tenets of democracy that we are fighting for. I appeal to church leaders to help us nurture the young generation and bring them up in thetraining and admonition of the Lord, without putting them to wrath.NASA demonstrations have been criticised by various quarters, with Raila receiving pressure to end the weekly demos.President Uhuru Kenyatta has since accused him of sabotaging the economy, through the demos, claims he has dismissed, saying Uhuru's government was behind the poor economy, that Kenyans are experiencing now.Odinga left the message, before leaving for Britain.
