NASA leader Raila Odinga has for the first addressed the arrest of economist David Ndii.
Ndii is currently being held over incitement allegations.
Speaking in Kisumu on Monday, Raila said that the people of Kenya shall not be supressed by any means.
"The people of Kenya will not be intimadated into submission. The people of Kenya cannot be suppressed through arrests, teargas and water canons," said Odinga.
"David Ndii has not committed any crime. We know the real reason why Ndii was arrested," he added.
Raila further condemned the arrest of Ndii through security operatives.'
He maintained that no Kenyan will be intimidated by the state over by allegedly using excessive force.
Ndii was arrested on Sunday while on holiday in Kwale.
