The National Super Alliance leaders from Gusii region have heaped praises to deceased chief strategist Oeri Tumbo who passed away on Wednesday.
Conroversial Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka, who also doubles as Ford Kenya deputy leader, termed the death as a tragic loss to the entire country.
"It is with deep sorrow that I announce the death of my uncle, mentor and top strategist Oeri Tumbo. The death has robbed the country one of the best minds," he said.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Kisii Governor James Ongwae termed him as a 'distingushed, reputable scholar'.
"He distinguished himself as a reputable scholar who had keen interest on issues affecting his county and country. It is a big loss for the county," he said in a statement.
Besides appearing at KTN News as a regular panelist, Tumbo was a close confidant and top strategist of ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
According to his nephew Richard Onyonka, Tumbo collapsed and died from a suspected heart attack on Wednesday morning.
