Veteran politician may after all back Wiper Kalonzo Musyoka in 2022 presidential elections, which has attracted a host of contestants.

Amid fallout in NASA, a hard talking Raila insisted that he will back Kalonzo but cautioned aginst rhetoric of the elections.

"I understand and I know. When that time comes, we shall all back Kalonzo and there is no question about that.

"But let us handle the issues of 2017 first. Kindly desist from dragging Kalonzo into non issues. We are in our right minds and we shall do that when time comes," he told a gathering in Machakos.

Earlier, Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana had rallied NASA troops to back Kalonzo in 2022 elections.

At the meeting on Friday, a moderate Kalonzo urged President Uhuru Kenyatta to initiate dialogue before the planned swearing-in.
