National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has reportedly set up a team to audit the relationship between ODM and the 3 other NASA-affiliate parties.
NASA is made up of ODM, Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya.
Odinga reached the decision after ODM delegates piled intense pressure on him to ditch NASA.
According to Nation, Odinga urged party members to remain calm.
“You must see this coalition like a large traditional family where there are varying interests and sibling rivalries. You must also see it as a marriage."Not all marriages are blissful,” he said.
The delegates maintained that the 3 other principals were undermining ODM's cause and had only fallen short of openly denouncing the coalition.
According to Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati, he had asked Odinga to pull out of any deal that would not advance ODM's interests.
“We do not need to be 300 MPs to be effective or to fight for our cause. You can see what [Julius] Malema is doing in South Africa. He has only 27 members in the House but they are effective. Theyhave contributed a lot in bringing [Jacob] Zuma down,” Arati is quoted by The Nation
.ODM Deputy Party leader, Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, told the delegates to focus on ODM matters.
