Raila Odinga's NASA shall embark on a series of protests across the country as one of the strategy to push President Uhuru Kenyatta out of power, Miguna Miguna has said.
At a rally in Uhuru Park on Tuesday, Raila took oath as people's president, promising to restore democracy in Kenya.
"I thank the people of Kenya for bestowing trust in me. I will serve you diligently as we seek to restore order," he said in a brief speech.
For weeks now, NASA has halted violent demonstrations after pressure from Western countries and alleged police brutality.
And at a press conference on Thursday, Miguna, who has since been arrested said NASA would burn effigies for Uhuru across the country.
"We shall now go to streets and demand for his eviction. We shall light bonfires and burn his effigies in our strongholds," he said.
Currently, Miguna is said to have been taken to Githunguri police station, several miles from Nairobi where he was arrested.
Also, according to Winnie Odinga, police have launched manhunt for Raila Odinga, who dared them to arrest him.
