NASA leader Raila Odinga will yet again have to deal with a looming fallout in the coalition despite having another tough job of fighting for electoral justice.
On Thursday, Odinga's proposed names to influential PSC was rejected with MPs Ben Momanyi (Borabu) and Elijah Memusi (Kajiado Central) crying foul.
This means that Raila will have to retreat yet again to unite his forces who seems to be differing on parliamentary leadership.
Equally, Raila is facing tough test as MPs from Gusii and Coast demand to be awarded leadership of Public Accounts Committee and Public Investment Committees.
"As Gusii community, we must be rewarded with PIC or PAC leadership. We can no longer accept to be flower girls," said Vincent Osumo, a staunch NASA supporter.
With Raila Odinga scoring well in three successful elections in the vote rich region, locals are pushing for appointment of Simba Arati (Dagoretti North) to either of the committees.
Already, Sakwa Bunyasi of Nambale has been proposed to take over PAC while Mvita's Abdulswamad Nassir is tipped to take over PIC.
"He denied us appointment to EALA and now we want to be given PAC," added Edna Kemunto in Nyamira ODM WhatsApp group.
However, it is not yet clear how Raila will handle pressure from his traditional strongholds given the scarcity of positions for appointment.
