Raila Odinga's ODM bagged a crucial victory against Jubilee in a tightly contested race in Kwale County on Wednesday.
ODM candidate Omar Hamisi was declared winner of Kinondo ward by election after garnering 3,408 votes against his rival Juma Maone who scored 2,712 votes.
The by election came amid intense storm within electoral commission IEBC, which saw three commissioners resign for alleged incompetence of chairman Wafula Chebukati.
High Court had nullified Maone's victory over 'irregularities and illegalities' during the August poll.
In the poll, Returning Officer had awarded Maone victory with a margin of 700 votes despite vote counting showing a tie.
While the Kwale Assembly is predominantly ODM, area governor Salim Mvurya is a Jubilee Member.
