Nyamira County Assembly leader of minority Dennis Kebaso has blamed the ODM Party leadership in the county for the MCAs' failure to attend devolution conference in Kakamega.
Kebaso, who is also the Nyansiongo ward MCA claimed that the MCAs affiliated to opposition made it difficult for the ward reps to get fare to travel to Kakamega.
"Everyone knows that ODM party leaders in the county are failures especially when planning trips.
"We could not attend and important conference just because the MCAs affiliated to NASA colluded with the governor and the finance department to deny us the opportunity," he said.
He stated that minority members in the county will not rest and will play their oversight roles at the assembly for the sake of bringing development in Nyamira.
"We will not be undermined just because we are few in numbers. Intimidation and blackmail won't work.
"We are going to use other means to interact with other MCAs from other counties to push governor Nyagarama develop Nyamira County and if he thinks he can divert development funds to his own pocket to some politicians pockets he is day dreaming," he added.
He called on residents of Nyamira to stay firm and ensure they are not lured with ghost projects for the funds from the national government to be misused.
