Raila Odinga's ODM party is contemplating to support defiant former Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter in the forthcoming by elections, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi has said.
Last week, Keter lost his seat following a nullification by Eldoret Judge Kanyi Kimondo who cited voter bribery and campaigning past time among other irregularities.
"The journey has just begun. We might even be denied Jubilee ticket. I know that I will not be given ticket," Keter said after losing the seat.
But with his politics leaning towards the opposition, Amisi says, the party would chip in once he confirms his party of choice.
"We shall move out and claim the Nandi Hills seat. Keter seems to be more in ODM than Jubilee," he said, in a statement that could spark controversy.
Elected on a Jubilee ticket, Keter has been labeled a rebel within Jubilee ranks with a section of Jubilee leaders insisting that they will oppose him.
