Raila Odinga’s Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) will bag the powerful Finance Ministry and the Ministry of Defence, in the event that the National Super Alliance (NASA) forms the government after August polls.This has been revealed in a document seen by Citizen Digital on how the five political parties in the coalition will share power and positions.The document signed by the five principals in the presence of their party secretaries shows ODM will also be in charge of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology should the opposition successfully dislodge the Jubilee administration from power.On top of the Deputy President’s post, Kalonzo Musyoka’s Wiper Party has also been allocated the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Ministry of Transport, Information and Communications.Musalia Mudavadi will hold the position of the Premier Cabinet Secretary in charge of the National Government.In addition, his Amani National Congress (ANC) party will also be in charge of the Interior and the Food and Agriculture Ministries.Ford Kenya, which is led by Bungoma Senator Moses Wetang'ula, will be in charge of the Energy and Infrastructure Ministries.Wetang'ula is proposed to become the Deputy Premier Cabinet Secretary in charge of Coordination of Economic Affairs.Devolution Ministry and the Ministry of Health will go to the Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto-led Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party.The outspoken Governor Ruto will become the Deputy Premier Cabinet Secretary in charge of Coordination of Governance and Social Sector.In the NASA power sharing structure, the coalition partners will nominate candidates of their choice for various appointive positions and forward this to the summit which will evaluate the portfolio of each candidate.
