Before being barred from the Nyamira County Assembly, Mouni blocked also the nomination or Irene Nyakerario at the High Court.

And in a letter from Orange House, the party argues that Mouni's nomination was skewed and went contrary to the spirit of the party thus the impending disciplinary action.

"The party has since sought to understand how Mrs. Mouni's name came to be on the list but she has provided unsatisfactory and misleading information.

"The party is in deed considering disciplinary actions against her for the same. The party only recognises Irene Nyakerario as our nominee," read the letter by Secretary General Edwin Sifuna.

It is said that Mouni conspired with her son Gekara Mouni to delete the name of Nyakerario at the final ODM list in favour of his mother.

At the time of the incident, Mr. Mouni was working as Personal Assistant to Wafula Chebukati of the IEBC.
