The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party led by Raila Odinga has said it will miss the contributions of the late Migori Senator Ben Oluoch Okello.
In a brief statement, the opposition party said Okello was dedicated to the party and was committed to serving the people of Migori.
Okello succumbed to throat cancer at the MP Shah hospital a few minutes past midnight.
"Migori Senator Hon. Ben Oluoch Okello passes on after a long illness bravely borne. The ODM Party will miss his dedication to the party & commitment to serve the people of the great County of Migori. We condole with the family and the people of Migori. We shall give more updates," said ODM through its official Twitter account on Tuesday morning.
The late was a former Ramogi FM and KBC radio presenter.
His body has since been moved to Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi.
Okello was elected Migori senator in the August 8, 2017 elections.
