Raila Odinga's people's assembly Bill has suffered another major setback after Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama denied receiving any copy of the Bill.
So far, 14 NASA friendly counties have passed the Bill despite a court order halting creation of such assemblies.
"We are yet to receive such a Bill and the moment we get it, our troops in assembly will pass it immediately," said Nyagarama, through his spokesman Nyambega Gisesa.
Earlier, a section of county residents accused the county government of playing mind games with the NASA family even as ODM Director Oduor Ongwen confirmed delivery of the copy.
With Majority Leader Duke Masira remaining mum over the Bill, ODM supporters have threatened to withdraw support to the governor should his election be nullified by the High Court.
"I sent the copy of the Bill to Nyamira and any information to the country is just a rumour. They have it and as NASA, we don't know why they are delaying," Ongwen said.
A source who sought anonymity says Governor Nyagarama is not keen to have the motion passed on fear for intimidation by Jubilee government through the election petition he is facing.
