NASA flag-bearer Raila Odinga has reached out to the media industry and journalists to help him ascend to power.
Speaking at the Villa Kempinsky where he held a breakfast in Nairobi, the former Prime Minister promised to in return defend press freedoms if NASA takes over leadership of the country.
He on Wednesday told members of the press that he will continue pushing for the rights of the media as he has always done.
“The Jubilee government has been making every effort to muzzle the media and this is unacceptable. We believe that the media should be allowed to operate in a free environment,” said Raila.
He was accompanied by ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi who is also the chair of his campaign team.
