Nyandarua County Governor Francis Kimemia has said Raila Odinga's resistance movement is an empty threat which will have no impact in the country.
The governor said Kenyans want peace and not chaos.
"Kenyans want peace even in Nyanza, Raila's stronghold. People want peace and jobs, not violence," said Kimemia.
He said Raila's threats to boycott election was ill-planned and won't have any impact in the country's security.
"I served as a security head, I know our country is stable and threats will not work," he said.
He said despite threats by NASA, election took place as planned.
Raila announced on Wednesday that NASA will now be a national resistance movement.
The ODM party leader said he will work with the people to protect the constitution.
He asked supporters to boycott election and most of the supporters heeded to the calls and kept off from polling stations during the Thursday's poll.
