Garissa Senator Yusuf Haji has criticized NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga over his frequent rigging claims saying it is a sign of sensing defeat in the coming August 8 general election.
Senator Haji states that Raila has sensed defeat and is trying to get Kenyans sympathy through unsupported rigging claims.
In an interview with People Daily, Haji asked Raila and NASA to stop speculating rigging if they don’t have evidence to support their claims.
He said that Raila wants to create panic and confusion through malicious speculations.
“Raila Odinga should give Kenyans a break and stop making claims that could cause anxiety and tension among Kenyans,” he said as quoted by the People Daily.
The Jubilee senator alleged that Raila’s rigging accusations is a plot for him to reject the outcome of the August 8 general election.
“I am urging Kenyans to ignore the empty rigging claims being fuelled by NASA leaders,” the Garissa senator added.
Haji claimed that Jubilee numbers are giving NAAS sleepless nights.
“It is obvious that NASA has sensed defeat and is looking for scapegoats to avoid the August 8 polls,” he added.
The senator said that NASA will not succeed in its plot to have the August 8 general election delayed.
NASA leaders are alleging rigging plot by Jubilee government and have threatened to boycott the August 8 polls if the IEBC does not guarantee fair, free, transparent and credible general election.
